Mercer County Waterfalls Hike
Saturday, October 18, 2025 (9:00 AM - 11:00 AM)
(EDT)
Description
We are heading to Pipestem Resort State Park on Saturday, October 18th. Before we hit the park, we’ll go about six miles south to Brush Creek Falls, which is on the WV Waterfall Trail. Note that the road to the falls is steep and narrow, but is very doable. Then we’ll hike another 1.7 miles to White Oak Falls, also on the Waterfall Trail. This trail goes along a rocky ledge with great views of the creek below. After this adventure, we will visit the Bolar Lookout Tower via the Pipestem Knob Trail (short, steep). There are several additional trails to explore in the park….or you can relax in the lodge before we head home. A short stop on the highway will also “snag” Pipestem Falls. Note: The newly-refurbished Aerial Tram MAY be open, although the website was not taking reservations for it. Cost is $13 adults and $10 seniors (on your own).
if you plan to meet at The Hub or at the trailhead! Here is the FB page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1367844966948468 It is public, so you should be able to send a message.
