About This Event:
Join Community Captain Josh for a fall adventure on the High Rocks Trail, a scenic hike in the Monongahela National Forest. This trail features stunning views from sandstone cliffs, making it a perfect autumn outing to enjoy colorful foliage and crisp mountain air.
What to Expect:
• A moderate hike with gradual climbs leading to panoramic overlooks
• Opportunities for leaf-peeping and nature photography
• A relaxed group pace and time to enjoy the views
How to Prepare:
• Wear sturdy hiking shoes and dress in layers for fall weather
• Bring water, snacks, and a camera for the views
• Bug spray and trekking poles optional
• Be prepared for rocky sections near the overlooks

Regarding Community Captain Programs and groups of children: All Active SWV Community Captain programs are family friendly; children are invited to attend with the expectation of a parent/guardian ratio of 1 guardian adult to 5 children. It is our expectation for larger groups of children (e.g. Scouts, youth groups, etc), that an adult to child ratio of 1 adult to 5 children be observed in ages 5 and under, and 1 adult to 10 children be observed for ages 5 and above.
