Location: Lake Stephens – Dam Area Address: 1400 Lake Stephens Rd, Surveyor, WV 25932, Raleigh County Community Captains: Barbie When: Sept 21st at 2:00 PM About This Event: Join Community Captain Barbie for a fun afternoon of Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) at Lake Stephens! This beginner-friendly event is a great way to get out on the water, enjoy the beautiful scenery, and stay active in a relaxed, supportive setting. What to Expect: • Guided group paddle on the calm waters of Lake Stephens • Instruction and encouragement from experienced Community Captains • A welcoming environment for all skill levels How to Prepare: • Meet at the dam area of Lake Stephens • Wear water-appropriate clothing or a swimsuit • Bring a towel, water, and sun protection • SUP boards and gear will be provided, but feel free to bring your own if you have one • Arrive early to get set up and ready to launch Registration to any Active SWV free programming indicates acceptance of our liability waiver for every adult and child attending. Please do not attend programs if you are not feeling well. https://rpb.li/rNo Regarding Community Captain Programs and groups of children: All Active SWV Community Captain programs are family friendly; children are invited to attend with the expectation of a parent/guardian ratio of 1 guardian adult to 5 children. It is our expectation for larger groups of children (e.g. Scouts, youth groups, etc), that an adult to child ratio of 1 adult to 5 children be observed in ages 5 and under, and 1 adult to 10 children be observed for ages 5 and above.
