This trail offers beautiful lake overlooks, rocky terrain, and peaceful forest views, making it a perfect cold-weather adventure for those who enjoy a brisk, scenic outing in nature. What to Expect: • A moderate hike with mixed terrain and lake views • Opportunities to explore lesser-traveled sections of Summersville Lake • A friendly, relaxed pace for all hikers How to Prepare: • Wear sturdy hiking shoes and dress warmly in layers • Bring water, snacks, and gloves or a hat for the weather • Trekking poles recommended for uneven terrain • Meet at the Orange Oswald Trailhead before 2:00 PM Registration to any Active SWV free programming indicates acceptance of our liability waiver for every adult and child attending. Please do not attend programs if you are not feeling well. https://rpb.li/rNo Regarding Community Captain Programs and groups of children: All Active SWV Community Captain programs are family friendly; children are invited to attend with the expectation of a parent/guardian ratio of 1 guardian adult to 5 children. It is our expectation for larger groups of children (e.g. Scouts, youth groups, etc), that an adult to child ratio of 1 adult to 5 children be observed in ages 5 and under, and 1 adult to 10 children be observed for ages 5 and above.
