DESCRIPTION:Location: Kaymoor Trail\, starting at Wolf Creek Trailhead Address: Fayette Station Road\, Fayetteville\, WV 25840\, Fayette County Community Captain: Jackie  About This Event: Join Community Captain Jackie for a scenic hike on the Kaymoor Trail\, beginning at the Wolf Creek Trailhead. This out-and-back hike will cover approximately 4 miles total and features beautiful forest scenery and historic remnants of West Virginia’s coal mining past. What to Expect: • A moderately paced 2-mile out and 2-mile back hike (4 miles total) • A well-marked trail with rolling terrain • Opportunities to connect with nature and local history • A supportive group setting for all experience levels How to Prepare: • Wear sturdy hiking shoes and dress in layers • Bring water and a snack • Bug spray and sunscreen recommended • Trekking poles optional\, but may be helpful Registration to any Active SWV free programming indicates acceptance of our liability waiver for every adult and child attending. Please do not attend programs if you are not feeling well. https://rpb.li/rNo Regarding Community Captain Programs and groups of children: All Active SWV Community Captain programs are family friendly\; children are invited to attend with the expectation of a parent/guardian ratio of 1 guardian adult to 5 children. It is our expectation for larger groups of children (e.g. Scouts\, youth groups\, etc)\, that an adult to child ratio of 1 adult to 5 children be observed in ages 5 and under\, and 1 adult to 10 children be observed for ages 5 and above. Get Active in the Park is an innovative partnership between the National Park Service and Active Southern West Virginia. Get Active in the Park empowers our community to see outdoor spaces as a place for health and wellness to take place.
